Argentinian international Mara Machizotti makes it four years with the Archers as she returns for 2022-23.
The centre from Buenos Aires is back for a fourth year with the Archers, after featuring in 40 games for the Archers over the previous three campaigns.
Having featured in the 2018 World Cup before making her move to Cardiff, last season saw Marchizotti average 11 points per game in 24 minutes of playing time, along with just over 6 rebounds a game. It was her most efficient campaign to date, with a field goal percentage above 50% for the year.
Marchizotti was determined to 'bounce back strong' this year, after injuries played a part in limiting her time on the floor in 2021-22.
“I love playing at Archers with these guys, and after being injured for some time last year I want to bounce back strong and healthy. I bring something unique to the team, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it meshes along with new and current teammates, with a full pre-season behind me and a lot of excitement ready to go!”
Head Coach, Stef Collins, added, “Mara has great back-to-the-basket skills, and she’s a fiery competitor with fantastic international and WBBL experience and helps keep the team driving forward. She’s got good shooting touch, and we can’t wait to see the best of Mara this year."
