James Dawe has been appointed as Head of Basketball at St David's College.
The former WBBL and NBL women's coach, and current NBL D2 Men, BUCS Men, and U18 Men Head Coach, and Head of Men's programme, will take over the new basketball academy on Ty-Gwyn Road.
The academy will cater for both boys and girls and will allow players access to a comprehensive basketball programme including skills sessions, strength and conditioning, and competitive games throughout the year. The academy follows in the footsteps of St David's successful football programme and will provide students with opportunities to train throughout the week with high-level coaches.
On his appointment, Dawe said, "I'm delighted to be announced as the new Head of Basketball at St David's College.
"We've seen plenty of NBL and Wales players come through at the college, and I'm excited to build on that.
"With fantastic Strength and Conditioning facilities, alongside the strong academics of the college, make it the perfect place for young student-athletes."
