Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics signs as WBBL sponsor.
Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics, based at centres across Cardiff and south Wales, has re-signed as the main sponsor for our WBBL team for the 2022-23 season.
Amongst the team of six high-level Consultants in Trauma & Orthopaedics is Stuart Roy, who has long been a supporter of the Archers thanks to his daughter Carys, who plays in the WBBL side.
On renewing the deal, Stuart Roy said, "We at Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics aim to provide a first class, holistic approach for our patients.
"We are delighted to be able to support Cardiff Met Archers in the forthcoming season."
Stef Collins, WBBL Head Coach, added, "It’s wonderful to have Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics as our sponsor for the upcoming 22-23 WBBL season. As the only Welsh franchise in the league, it is imperative for us to have the support of local businesses and companies. We always want to increase our reach and aim to provide as many opportunities for our players and this certainly helps us deliver that.
“Sport as this level needs the backing and there’s no greater time than now to invest in women’s sport, this platform helps inspire the communities around us as our players become role models for so many."
Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics provide high quality care for sporting injuries, degenerative joint disease and arthritis. We offer face to face consultations at our various clinics or for those who would prefer an appointment from the comfort of their own home, remote consultations are available via phone or video chat.
Cardiff Met Archers are always open to conversations with people and organisations interested in investing in one of the most popular sports in the UK, whether that is with our senior teams, including WBBL, WPL wheelchair basketball, or our men's programme, or across our huge junior programme, with over 250 juniors playing basketball weekly.
We are one of the largest basketball clubs in the UK, and the largest and most successful club in Wales, catering to running, IDD and physical disability basketball.
