With the 2023/24 NBL Men's D2 season underway with an 85-76 victory over Baltic Stars Medelynas at the weekend, the roster for the champions has been confirmed as the boys look to retain their place in D2 after an epic promotion last season.
James Dawe returns as Head Coach and captain, as well as holdovers from last time out in D2 in Ioan Nickson, Gareth Williams, Eddie Kizito, Sol Minty-Walker, and Eli Andam. Lennie Norris returns after a year away and comes straight back into D2. Ollie Wright and Casey Smith join as new recruits to the university, with Rokas Jodkevicius, the former Archer junior, making his return. Pete Walker has also returned, but as a student as well as a D2 bucket-getter, and then rounding off the roster are Annureet Bajwa, in his second season back at Met, and NBL D3 MVP and Cardiff Met University's MVP Dan Flaherty makes a sensational return after initially signing in France - the lure of the Archer Family was too strong!
Tom Guntrip and Stefan Rosier continue their assistant coaching duties, with the squad looking to make their mark in a difficult D2 and continue to push the Men's Programme at Archers Basketball as one of the strongest across the UK.
